All fees can be settled easily with card or bank transfer on the day of the appointment. For your convenience I will provide a mobile card reader at no extra charge; a receipt will be sent to your email immediately.  For clinic visits parking is free.

Appointments are available either in my Willesden Green Clinic at NW2 4PG or in your home/your child's nursery or school.

Initial Assessment 

  • Full Evaluation of your child's communication needs and skills through play and formal assessments and activities. This can also be useful for differential diagnosis, where you need a second opinion on your child's presentation, for example.

  • Advice will be given to address immediate needs  as well as longer term goals and how we can help support your child practically at home/in school


Follow-up Appointments: 

Every appointment includes all of the following aspects:-

  • targeted, motivating activities to help develop your child's speech, language and social communication 

  • Specific strategies to alleviate and reverse any feeding/eating or drinking problems.

  • You will receive regular feedback via email or direct contact.  

  • Liaison with other professionals involved, as per your request

£90 per appointment/episode


Reports and Programmes 

Detailed written reports/goal sheets and/or programmes will be supplied to you on request. 

£80 per hour

Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP)  Assessment and Report (approx 6 hours in total)

A comprehensive assessment and detailed written report formatted in a style recognised by Local Educational Authorities . Recommendations will include both direct as well as consultative models of treatment in order to ensure therapy advice is fully integrated into your child's daily school routine.

Initial Assessment will take place in your home or in your child's educational setting.

Follow-up appointments may also take place in my clinic.  If travelling to your home, school or nursery, parking fees plus £60 per hour/pro rata is added to the fee.

Bookings, Reservations & Payments

  • All payments are due on the day of the appointment, either via bank card payment or on-line transfer.


The Service

Sonja McGeachie, Principal Therapist and owner of The London Speech and Feeding Practice (LSFP) is the person you are instructing and she will do the work/therapy needed under this arrangement.  If it has been agreed that an Associate Speech and Language Therapist will do the work needed, then this will be explicitly discussed with you.  You will be offered full CV, Registration & Insurance details of any Associates before the work commences.  The contract of work/therapy and payments will be between yourself and Sonja McGeachie only.

General Obligations

The information you provide to LSFP will be received in professional confidence.  The only exception is where statutory and other legal requirements may give cause to disclose information received from you or other regulatory authorities. 

Your consent to such disclosure will in all instances be sought first. 


You and Sonja McGeachie agree that: 

Copies of any documents you provide are kept as secure professional records.  Please see privacy statement regarding

data protection.

Cancellation/ Non-Payment Charges

Cancellations of more than 24 hours will not be charged.  Cancellations of less than 12 hours will be invoiced at 50% of the fee (without travel). Non-attendance will occur the full fee, including travel.


In rare cases of my having to cancel for unexpected reasons or illness you will be reimbursed any fees you may have already pre-paid or, if preferred, the missed session(s) will be re-scheduled at the earliest opportunity.

If fees are not settled I will send one friendly reminder.  If payment is not settled within 24 hours after receipt of reminder further arranged sessions will be cancelled.  

Fees will be reviewed annually (1 April).

Privacy Statement

Sonja McGeachie is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a Data controller and complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulations (2018).  She also work in accordance with Professional Guidelines of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).

This privacy statement sets out how we use and protect any personal data that is provided during the course of working with your child. 

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.  Should you be asked to provide certain personal data by which you can be identified when using the service, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement as set out below:

We may collect the following information:

  • personal data about your child and you relating to their needs

  • further information in relation to reports and updates from other professionals involved in your child's care e.g. therapists, doctors, teachers

  • reports and clinical notes written, following treatment sessions

This information is gathered for the purposes of:

  • professional, clinical record keeping of client information

  • clinically justifying and evidencing recommendations made

  • with your consent, undertaking comprehensive assessments of need and provide therapy intervention, as required

Without this information:

  • it is not possible to provide services to meet your child's needs

Your data will be shared with

  • relevant health and service professionals in order to ensure collaborative working to maximise your child's progress

  • where it is required to share information this will be done with your prior consent


In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure your data is encrypted and stored securely on a password protected computer.  Written information received is scanned securely onto the computer and the paper copy is then destroyed.

Any formal reports containing sensitive information as well as your child's details and sent by email are password protected for additional security. 

Data Retention 

Any speech and language/feeding therapy services records are retained as per the rules of the ICO.

The right to be informed

You have the right to be informed about what data is being collected, how and why it is being used and any 3rd parties that rely on the information. 


The right of access

You may request details of personal information which I hold about you.  This will be done within 30 days of receiving a written request. 


The right to rectification 

If you believe that any information about your child is incorrect or incomplete, please email sonja@londonspeechandfeeding.co.uk as soon as possible  Any errors will be corrected immediately upon receipt of

your email. 

The right to erasure

Where the data is not required for legal or medical record keeping you may request that is is erased.


The right to data portability

You may request that the data you have provided be transferred to another data controller in a machine readable format. 

The right to object 

You have the right to object to the processing of your data.  Where your data is being processed on the basis of consent it may be withdrawn at any time.
