Rates and Discounts
My fees are £90 per hour for all services I provide. Below is an indication of how long individual sessions might take. There is some variation depending on your child's complexity and needs.
All ongoing weekly block of treatments will be offered a discount of 10% for all sessions.
Full Evaluation of your child's speech, language, social communication, feeding and/or swallowing difficulties through formal and informal assessments, play and observation.
Advice will be given to address immediate needs as well as longer term goals and how we can help support your child practically at home/in school
minimum 1 hour (mostly 90 minutes are needed to make a comprehensive assessment)
targeted, motivating activities to help develop your child's speech, language and social communication
specific strategies to alleviate and reverse any feeding/eating or drinking problems.
regular feedback via email or direct contact.
liaison with other professionals involved, where required
from 30 minutes (most effective therapy time is usually 60 minutes to include time for feedback and discussion)
Reports and Programmes
Detailed written reports/goal sheets and/or programmes
from 30 minutes - varies depending on type of report - I will give you a reliable estimate of the time needed when we discuss your report requirements.
Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) Assessment and Report (approx 6 hours in total)
A comprehensive assessment and detailed written report formatted in a style recognised by Local Educational Authorities . Recommendations will include both direct as well as consultative models of treatment in order to ensure therapy advice is fully integrated into your child's daily school routine.

A travel fee is added, calculated in time taken to the venue only, at a rate of £60 per hour/pro rata. For example, travel to NW2 or NW10 will add approximately £5-£15 to the fee.
Bookings, Reservations & Payments
All fees can be settled easily with card or bank transfer on the day of the appointment either via mobile card reader or on-line bank transfer. For clinic visits parking is free.
Appointments are available either in my Willesden Green Clinic at NW2 4PG or in your home/your child's nursery or school.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Sonja McGeachie, Principal Therapist and owner of The London Speech and Feeding Practice (LSFP) is the person you are instructing and she will do the work/therapy needed under this arrangement. If it has been agreed that an Associate Speech and Language Therapist will do the work needed, then this will be explicitly discussed with you. You will be offered full CV, Registration & Insurance details of any Associates before the work commences. The contract of work/therapy and payments will be between yourself and Sonja McGeachie only.
The information you provide to LSFP will be received in professional confidence. The only exception is where statutory and other legal requirements may give cause to disclose information received from you or other regulatory authorities.
Your consent to such disclosure will in all instances be sought first.

Cancellation/ Non-Payment Charges
Cancellations of more than 24 hours will not be charged. Cancellations of less than 12 hours will be invoiced at 50% of the fee (without travel). Non-attendance will occur the full fee, including travel.
In rare cases of my having to cancel for unexpected reasons or illness you will be reimbursed any fees you may have already pre-paid or, if preferred, the missed session(s) will be re-scheduled at the earliest opportunity.
Fees will be reviewed annually (1 January).
Sonja McGeachie is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a Data controller and complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulations (2018). She also work in accordance with Professional Guidelines of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).

The following information will need to be collected:
personal data about your child and you relating to their needs
further information in relation to reports and updates from other professionals involved in your child's care e.g. therapists, doctors, teachers
reports and clinical notes written, following treatment sessions
This information is gathered for the purposes of:
professional, clinical record keeping of client information
clinically justifying and evidencing recommendations made
with your consent, undertaking comprehensive assessments of need and provide therapy intervention, as required
Without this information:
it is not possible to provide services to meet your child's needs
Your data will be shared with
relevant health and service professionals in order to ensure collaborative working to maximise your child's progress
where it is required to share information this will be done with your prior consent
In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure your data is encrypted and stored securely on a password protected computer. Written information received is scanned securely onto the computer and the paper copy is then destroyed.
Any formal reports containing sensitive information as well as your child's details and sent by email are password protected for additional security.
Any speech and language/feeding therapy services records are retained as per the rules of the ICO.

The right to be informed
You have the right to be informed about what data is being collected, how and why it is being used and any 3rd parties that rely on the information.
The right of access
You may request details of personal information which I hold about you. This will be done within 30 days of receiving a written request.
The right to rectification
If you believe that any information about your child is incorrect or incomplete, please email email@example.com as soon as possible Any errors will be corrected immediately upon receipt of
The right to erasure
Where the data is not required for legal or medical record keeping you may request that is is erased.
The right to data portability
You may request that the data you have provided be transferred to another data controller in a machine readable format.
The right to object
You have the right to object to the processing of your data. Where your data is being processed on the basis of consent it may be withdrawn at any time.
