Assessment of your child's needs in your home :
Observation and assessment of your child's communication needs and skills through play
Guidance and practical advice for supporting your child's speech and language daily at home/in school
Written summary of discussion and forward planning
£120 (approximately 1.5 hours in total)
Full assessment of your child's needs in your home and/or educational setting for up to two hours including:
Pre-assessment Questionnaire (details about your child's development, medical history and interests)
Observation and assessment of your child's communication skills through play
Detailed assessment of your child's communication using standardised assessments as appropriate
Guidance for supporting your child's speech and language at home
Full written report of your child's communication skills and needs
Liaison with your child's preschool or school as required
Therapy/Review Sessions in your home or your child's nursery/school
50 minutes sessions held at your home or in your child's pre-school or school setting:
Motivating activities to develop your child's speech and language skills.
Demonstration of games and strategies that you will be able to do and use with your child between sessions.
Feedback and discussion of progress at the end of every session.
£87 per session
Reports and Programmes
Detailed written reports/goal sheets and/or programmes will be supplied to you on request and sent to you via encrypted email.
£80 per hour
Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) Assessment and Report
A school-based assessment giving time to assess your child within their school environment. A report formatted in a style recognised by Local Educational Authorities will then be provided . Recommendations will include both direct as well as consultative models of treatment in order to ensure therapy advice is fully integrated into your child's daily routine.
Travel to your home or your child's educational setting
£87 per hour , pro rata.
Excess charges only apply for journeys to an appointment.
Travel times are calculated using The AA Route Planner (www.theaa.com)
All journeys are calculated from my base in NW2
Bookings, Reservations & Payments
A £50 deposit is required when booking your first appointment, the remainder will be due on completion of the assessment.
Therapy sessions must be paid for at the end of each session.
Additional reports, meetings or visits will be invoiced once completed, and final copy of reports issued once payment has been made.
Preferred method of payment is via bank transfer, but card or cash payments are also accepted.
Invoices should be settled within 5 working days.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Sonja McGeachie, Principal Therapist and owner of The London Speech and Feeding Practice (LSFP) is the person you are instructing and she will do the work/therapy needed under this arrangement. If it has been agreed that an Associate Speech and Language Therapist will do the work needed, then this will be explicitly discussed with you. You will be offered full CV, Registration & Insurance details of any Associates before the work commences. The contract of work/therapy and payments will be between yourself and Sonja McGeachie only.
The information you provide to LSFP will be received in professional confidence. The only exception is where statutory and other legal requirements may give cause to disclose information received from you or other regulatory authorities.
Your consent to such disclosure will in all instances be sought first.

Cancellation/ Non-Payment Charges
Cancellations of more than 24 hours will not be charged. Cancellations of less than 12 hours will be invoiced at 50% of the fee (without travel). Non-attendance will occur the full fee, including travel.
In rare cases of my having to cancel for unexpected reasons or illness you will be reimbursed any fees you may have already pre-paid or, if preferred, the missed session(s) will be re-scheduled at the earliest opportunity.
If fees are not settled I will send one friendly reminder. If payment is not settled within 24 hours after receipt of reminder further arranged sessions will be cancelled.
Fees will be reviewed annually (1 April).
Sonja McGeachie is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a Data controller and complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulations (2018). She also work in accordance with Professional Guidelines of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).

We may collect the following information:
personal data about your child and you relating to their needs
further information in relation to reports and updates from other professionals involved in your child's care e.g. therapists, doctors, teachers
reports and clinical notes written, following treatment sessions
This information is gathered for the purposes of:
professional, clinical record keeping of client information
clinically justifying and evidencing recommendations made
with your consent, undertaking comprehensive assessments of need and provide therapy intervention, as required
Without this information:
it is not possible to provide services to meet your child's needs
Your data will be shared with
relevant health and service professionals in order to ensure collaborative working to maximise your child's progress
where it is required to share information this will be done with your prior consent
In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure your data is encrypted and stored securely on a password protected computer. Written information received is scanned securely onto the computer and the paper copy is then destroyed.
Any formal reports containing sensitive information as well as your child's details and sent by email are password protected for additional security.
Any speech and language/feeding therapy services records are retained as per the rules of the ICO.

The right to be informed
You have the right to be informed about what data is being collected, how and why it is being used and any 3rd parties that rely on the information.
The right of access
You may request details of personal information which I hold about you. This will be done within 30 days of receiving a written request.
The right to rectification
If you believe that any information about your child is incorrect or incomplete, please email email@example.com as soon as possible Any errors will be corrected immediately upon receipt of
The right to erasure
Where the data is not required for legal or medical record keeping you may request that is is erased.
The right to data portability
You may request that the data you have provided be transferred to another data controller in a machine readable format.
The right to object
You have the right to object to the processing of your data. Where your data is being processed on the basis of consent it may be withdrawn at any time.
